Music Monday for 05.25.2020

Hello, 4M Dancers and fellow Music Monday-ers! I’ve been absent from the dance floor for a while, but that’s really nothing new. At least during this absence, I was able to accomplish a few important things offline that have been needing to be tended to and handled for a while now.

The theme for this week’s Monday’s Music Moves Me is “songs about flowers or gardens”. My selections are only about flowers in the sense that they’re titled with flower names, but I hope you’ll still enjoy…

The White Stripes – “Blue Orchid”

The Cult – “Wildflower”

What are some of YOUR favorite songs about flowers or gardens? Be sure to head over to Cathy’s or Marie’s to see what others chose for this prompt, or to participate yourself.

If you’re out enjoying your day off or participating in Memorial Day tributes, be sure to observe social distancing suggestions and be careful and safe out there. My heart goes out to all of you who have lost loved ones who died serving in the Armed Forces.

I can’t say I knew either one of these, but out of them I think I like the first one the best. You’ve rocked the house my friend. Happy Memorial Day. Be safe, be healthy and have fun! hugs and thanks for playin’ along with us.

Thank you; I hope you have a great week as well! I am glad to have introduced you to some new tunes! That first one definitely has a unique vibe to it. Usually everything Jack White creates does!

  2. Kim,

I’m happy you made it to the 4M dance floor. I know both song titles from past mewsic searches but I can’t recall if I actually listened to either before now, so thanks for sharing these this morning. I wouldn’t say they are my cup of tea but I always appreciate being exposed to new tunes. Have a boogietastic week. Take care and be well, my dear!

  3. A couple of good rockin’ choices, neither of which I was that familiar with, but I would choose The Cult song. Possibly my favorite garden song is a sad one – Elton John’s Empty Garden, which is a tribute to the late John Lennon.

    • Kim says:

I liked The Cult better of the two myself. I try my best to stay away from sad songs, especially these recent days. I just can’t.
