Music Monday for 10.21.2019

Hello, Music Monday-ers and 4M-ers! I am freshly back from my Mississippi/Memphis trip, where I got to briefly visit family, and got ever closer to the finish line on my Aunt’s estate. (where I have never seen so much stuff in my life – and I have seen a lot of stuff!) I am enjoying my Monday, having gotten up early to tend to the dogs and clean a bit of house while listening to your selections. I’m normally at work today, but since it’s inventory I’ll be working a long shift tonight instead. This is something totally new for me, so I hope I do everything right. I’ve spent the entire past week preparing myself and my department for it, so there’s really no reason for things not to run smoothly.

It’s a freebie this week on Monday’s Music Moves Me – which can be seen at Cathy’s, Dolly’s, and many of the other participants’ as well – meaning a song of your choice. Rocktober Music Fest 2019 is still going on over at Mary’s, so my post today is doing double duty. I’m working on my spooky playlist for Halloween, and I think I’ll share a selection from that:

Gerard Way – “Baby You’re A Haunted House”

What are YOU listening to today?

  1. Kim,

This is new2me. I can’t believe how fast this month is slipping away, can you? In 10 days we’ll be saying goodbye to October. WOW, right? Thanks for joining me on the dance floor today, my dear. Have a boogietastic week!

    • Kim says:

Stephen, it’s definitely been a long time! I have been hanging in there. This year has something else. Not in a completely bad way, but there have been a few life-changing events which have forced me to deal with things I’ve never handled before. I’m trying to learn and grow from them.

That song definitely has a retro vibe. I love that it’s spooky-ish retro!

  2. Marie Moody says:

HAHAHA OMG That is too cute especially when my hubby laughs out loud. My hubby is home on a medical disability now, so he likes to sit with me to see the videos. Thank you. With him being a musician he really liked this one!!! Have a great day girlfriend! YOU HAVE ROCKED THE HAUNTED HOUSE! hahahaha

    • Kim says:

Ooh, I love rockin’ the haunted house! I’m sorry to hear that your hubby is home on medical disability; I hope things improve soon! (unless it works out better for you guys to have him home – then I’m glad that you’re getting to spend time together listening to music and such. I really do hope the medical issues aren’t too severe, though.

    • Kim says:

I know, right? My friend introduced me to this one. We both love My Chemical Romance, but she’s been great at keeping up with their solo careers.

    • Kim says:

I AM! I’ve waited way too late to put my playlist together, so I suppose I’ll be doing that most of the day tomorrow. But I can’t wait! Glad you enjoyed the tune!
