No, it’s not the same.

(NaBloPoMo Day 12)

I’m getting really excited for Project Runway on Bravo, set to premiere this season on December 5! How about you? Do you watch?

No, it’s not the same without Tim, Heidi, and Zac. And if we’re being completely honest, I don’t like this new “version” nearly as much as the Heidi/Tim era, but I am learning to try to appreciate it for what it is: fashion that still needs to be seen and shared.

Nina’s still there. I love Christian as a mentor. A friend did point out that she thought he was too laid-back as a mentor compared to how extra he was as a contestant – and I get that. But I guess that’s what happens when you grow up. He was the youngest winner in the show’s history, after all! I’m not really familiar with Elaine and Brandon, but have enjoyed their commentary and think Karlie Kloss is doing well as a host. I just still feel a little out of place with it mainly because the fashion is getting younger, the designers are (mostly) getting younger, and I feel like this is geared to a much younger generation than mine.

But that’s what happens with everything in life, from fashion design to music, to lifestyle in general. I’ll still be tuning in, of course, because I love fashion, and love to watch people create it.

As for Heidi and Tim, I am beyond excited to watch their new show, “Making the Cut”, when it premieres on Amazon Prime next year. What about this show? If you watch/ed Project Runway, do you think you’ll enjoy this more?

Which shows are YOU looking forward to this winter?

No, I never got into this show. That’s what happens of course. They’re not getting younger. You’re getting older. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t still appreciate the fashion they’re coming up with.
