The theme I chose for this week's Mama Kat's Pretty Much World Famous Writer's Workshop is "List 7 things that bring you comfort.". I know 2020 has been rough on all of us, but my own journey into the rabbit hole that is change and discomfort began a few years ago. And then Covid. I barely noticed Covid, personally, but it did change the world and the ways in which we were all used to doing things. In these strange and stressful times, it's more important than ever to find and take advantage of anything that brings comfort.
As I write this, I'm coming off a particularly difficult 9-day-in-a-row work stretch. I've worked as many as 11 days in a row before, but in my former department. My current position is much, much busier and more physically demanding than my other job, and I was woefully unprepared for how utterly exhausting this was going to be for me.
One of my favorite things about working nights and still waking up at a decent (for me) hour is that I can attend to housework, cook brunch, get ready without rushing, and run errands without too much hassle. I can even sit at my computer and relax for a bit!
(NaBloPoMo Day 15) Edit: I've failed at NaBloPoMo. This was sitting in my drafts folder until I realized on Thanksgiving that I didn't have a post for last Friday. I'm still posting it, because I wrote the post on time, I just apparently didn't make sure it was scheduled.
The highlights of my week:

This week, the prompt I chose for Mama Kat's Pretty Much World Famous Writer's Workshop was "If you could purchase a vacation home anywhere in your state, where would you choose?"
